Victorians
Year 2 had a great time being Victorian school children for the day.
They had to follow the strict rules of no fidgeting, sitting up straight, no arms on the table and definitely no talking.
Some children dressed up in Victorian style clothes and all children took part in Victorian lessons, such as the three R's. They wrote on a chalk board and used an abacus for counting.
Year 2 learnt about different punishments, the Dunce hat, finger stocks to stop their fingers fidgeting, a backboard to stop them slouching and the wooden cane.
They are all relieved that they don't go to school in Victorian times.
