Passport to Europe
ear Four, have been learning how to sew as part of their topic ‘Passport to Europe’.
They were challenged to create a money wallet with two pockets, one for Euros and one for pounds. The children learnt how to thread a needle and to tie knots in the end of their thread which proved quite tricky! They also learnt how to do a running, blanket and over stitch as well as how to sew on a button. We were incredibly impressed with their sewing skills!
We also invited parents to visit us to assist their children with their sewing. This was a great afternoon and everyone enjoyed themselves.
