Homework

Children usually bring reading books home every night.  It is really important that you share the books as often as possible with your child, preferably every day.  Please listen to your child read, talk about the book and help them to read unknown words by using their knowledge of phonics, looking at the pictures and thinking about what they are reading.

  • Sound books are sent home every Friday.  Please help your child to complete the activities but don’t do the work for them!  Talk to your child about what they are doing but please let them write, draw or cut and stick to record their work.

  • Extra homework activities may be sent home from time to time.  These will be fun things to do, e.g. looking at nature whilst going out for a walk, looking at numbers whilst helping with the shopping or doing some science investigations with your family.
