On Monday 18th June, Year 2 had a very special visitor. It was a fireman from our local fire station. He came to tell us some important information about what to do if there was a fire in our house. We learnt all about how to test door handles to see if they are hot, how to crawl to avoid breathing in the smoke and how to stop, drop and roll if we ever had fire on our clothes. We even got to dress up in a fire fighting outfit! Learning about fire safety is very important and can save lives. We received a ‘fire plan’ booklet and will all be making a plan in case there is ever a fire at our home.
