Dercliffe Care Home

On Monday 19th December some members of the school choir and some children from EYFS walked to a local care home to sing some Christmas songs for the residents.  We really enjoyed our little performance and seeing the men and ladies smiling and joining in with the songs!

Bradley School Choir  Quotes

Thursday dinner time 12.45pm – 1.10pm

At choir we are singing Christmas Songs such as :  We wish you a Merry Christmas, Jingle Bells, Rocking around the Christmas tree and much more.

I like the choir because when you go you get to sing beautiful songs and Christmas songs too.  Also, we have nice teachers in the choir.

At choir you can have a nice time.  It makes you happy.  Even when you are sad it cheers you up.  You learn something new.

I like to go to the choir because I love to sing.  It is the best thing I do.

Christmas Lights

On Saturday 26th November, members of our choir sang at the switch on of the Nelson Town Centre Christmas lights.  We sang 6 Christmas songs on the stage to help everyone get into the Christmas spirit!  After our performance, Nimra in Year 6 helped the Mayor of Nelson to officially switch on the town’s Christmas lights.

Young Voices

Young Voices February 2017

Fourteen members of our choir sang with over 8000 other school children at Manchester Arena.

We had been working really hard for months to learn lots of new songs and dances.  We even learnt sign language to one of the songs.

In the weeks leading up to the concert, we rehearsed with children from 2 other local primary schools and a local high school.  We performed some of the songs for our families at a preview concert and we also performed for the rest of our school.

On the big day, we had such a great time singing with the other children, doing the Mexican Wave, performing with a live band and with famous artists.  Mrs Dowell, Mrs Schofield and Mr Hull enjoyed it, too!

What a fantastic experience!
